    Bio:
Mark Marshall is, for all intents and purposes, a media ‘renaissance man’.

Among his talents are those of narrator, vocalist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, photographer, multimedia / print /audio / video / radio /web producer and designer. He uses these talents in a wide range of both commercial projects and artistic endeavors.

But his true love is music – and he’s been writing and recording since he was 10.

Born in New York City, he grew up throughout the greater New York area, where he listened to the radio, sang, and taught himself piano and guitar at home. It was during this time that he started experimenting with writing and recording multiple parts, on a reel-to-reel recorder his dad had brought to their home in the northwest Bronx.

Fast forward through over 20 years, during which he picked up drums and bass, played and sang on other people’s music sessions and live gigs… and he recorded, and recorded… and recorded.

His first release, New Eye, was released in 2007 – nineteen tracks that run the gamut from Rock to Power Pop to long-form instrumental – all composed, arranged, performed and recorded by Mark.

It was met with critical acclaim across the board.

    Industry credits:

The wide-ranging nature of these projects include websites, DVDs, interactive CD-ROMs, print materials, digital photography, radio spots, logo and collateral designs, 3-D renderings, sound effects, video productions and more.

As a vocalist and instrumentalist, he has performed on numerous live and studio music projects, including New Voices of Freedom, the PBS special “The Children Remember”, numerous television appearances and nationwide radio spots, and albums by Amy Coleman, Abby Straus, Zan Zone and others.

His instrumental compositions and performances have been featured in many projects including those for MONY, Transamerica, Lucent, Direct Interactive, Emigrant Savings Bank, Pacifica Radio, Sony, Brother, Panasonic, The Bureau of Electronic Publishing, IMG and Wellesley Suites.

His distinctive narrative voice has been heard on projects including Lucent, Cenmarx, AT&T, Siemens, Recon Records, Thynx, KPFK and WBAI Radio, Ecom Technologies and Con Ed Communications.

His widely varied character voices have been heard on numerous projects, including BlackHammer / Matrix Games’ Supremacy, and JIST’s Mission:Careers, where he plays over 40 different characters!

As a radio producer and co-host, he has engineered, produced, and edited over one hundred radio broadcasts, heard on both WBAI radio in New York and other Pacifica radio Network Stations, from 1999 through the present. He also provides musical compositions and narrations for every show, as well as singlehandedly designing, constructing and maintaining the award-winning companion website to the broadcasts.
