Didorion, aka Eric Birnbaum is akin to an explorer with
this latest release called Look at That. Pushing the boundries and
bringing some fresh music to the forefront. Didorion's songwriting
skills are apparent with excellent stories within the music. Didorion
has a unique voice and the ability to draw the listener in. He has
undertaken an enormous feat becoming an entire band. Didorion not
only does lead and back up vocals, but also all intrumentation himself
and recorded the album from his own studio. I like that he has taken
the time to arrange the tracks exactly as he heard them in his mind.
He cannot be boxed into only one genre with this album. Didorion
easily slides from alternative, pop, rock, electronic and even 80's
style with little or no effort. He was very generous with the number
of tracks on Look At That, giving us a well rounded album. Didorion
will not be held back. His musical genious seems to pour out of
him. It will be interesting to see where he goes from here.
The three tracks I have chosen are :
1) Look At That - The title track on this album. This is
an upbeat song with catchy lyrics and a great beat. Didorion's vocals
are contagious. He will have you up on the dance floor in a heartbeat.
Great job on this track.
2) Runaway Run - This is a song that will have you shaking
what your momma gave you on the dance floor! It has a pop feel and
excellent lyrics. Didorion's voice was made for this song. He will
have you singing along even if you don't know the words. It is the
kind of song that stays in your mind after it is done. Brilliant
intrumentation and arrangement.
3) Tag Along - This 80's feel track is fantastic. Didorion
has done an excellent job on Tag along! Strong sexy vocals will
have you bought into the song 100%. The musical arrangement will
stand the test of time. Lyrics are excellent. This track will engrain
itself into your blood. Its a real keeper. Well done!!
Didorion's "Look at That", shows just what you
can accomplish in your own studio. Didorion is fearless. You simply
must check it out for yourself.
And that's just how I see it
