Friends Of Emmet - Coming Apart

    Coming Apart Track Playlist:
    They Are Coming Apart
    Young Americans
    13th Floor
    No Surprize
    Watching The World

It is not often we are presented with an album quite like Friends Of Emmet's "Coming Apart". This is 5 tracks of absolute genius. Lets just call a spade a spade here. This is nothing less than rock heaven. strong vocals, perfectly suiting well thought out lyrics. Instrumentation is magnificent. Each song taking you on a different emotion and road.

We have not heard such outstanding and fresh songwriting since David Bowie. The level of expertise in the songwriting skills and vocals are a sheer delight to hear.

Mark Leddy and Brian Lyman work that guitar line as only they can. These two are dynamic and sexy. They have no problem holding the attention of the listener and those lucky enough to see them live. These vibrant, strong, guitar lead tracks show the level of expertise these two possess. With handsome Keith Geraghty's impressive bass line threading them together, you can't lose. The keyboards are driven by the gorgeous Paul Dempsey who brings to the table an ability we could only dream of. And to tie it all together is the magnificent Lee Boyland on drums. Together these men will have you in the "F.O.E. Zone" and leave you begging for more.

The 3 tracks I have chosen to single out are:

    1) They are coming apart - This song impressed me with it's spectacular lyrics. I absolutely loved the instrumentation on this song. The lead in on it is inventive and addictive. Vocals are sexy, strong and clear. With the guitar holding court in the most spectacular way, Friends Of Emmet has us hooked on this one. This cut is smooth and well produced. They have a gift which enables them to rock your socks off while singing a slower paced song. Definitely a song that will live in your memory and time stamp your life. Very well done.

    2) 13th Floor - This track has a big sound. The outstanding guitar led vocals are heart stopping. Once again Friends Of Emmet show us just how skilled they are with the lyrics and instrumentation. Strong percussion and drums, not to mention the magnificent bass line. Keyboard work is exceptional on this piece. This is the kind of song that touches each of us in it's own way and still has us humming it long after the CD Player is turned off. What a success.

    3) Watching the world - Friends Of Emmet has us wrapped around their little fingers with "Watching the world". This song is sophisticated, polished, very well produced and mastered. Perfect intrumentation and vocals bring life to the lyrics. It paints a picture for us. I love a song I can feel as well as see. Now thats an art.

** Special mention has to made of the Remix of Young Americans. It is over the top good!!!!!!!! Very well done guys!

Not many would try, even fewer would succeed, but Friends Of Emmet has done this song proud!! Check it out yourself.

F.O.E has it all!! Looks, style, talent, an innate ability to rock your world. Now this, Coming Apart is an absolute Hit!

If this is the first time you have heard this band, I guarantee it won't be your last. We are hooked! Line and Sinker.

Well done Friends Of Emmet !!
