It is not often when an album presents itself to you, that you are
completely and totally mesmerized. That is exactly the effect Young
Amelia
will have on you. Hans York is not one to disappoint anyone. His vocals
on all tracks are exceptional. He is entertaining, sexy, thought provoking
and always surprizing. This album is refreshing! Hans lyrics
will take you on a spectacular journey. Each song painting a different
picture. The experience behind Hans work shows clearly. A true professional
in every way. Once you have heard Hans York the first time, you are
a fan for life.
The orchestration is brilliant on these tracks, very well produced.
The varied instruments used are delightful to the ear, complimenting
Hans York's spectacular vocals. Some of the best guitar licks I've
heard in a long time. A stellar lineup of exceptional musicians
and vocalists stand with Hans York, making this album a cherished
addition to anyone's music library.
The three tracks I have singled out are 12!
Since I can't do that, my three are:
1) Snow - This track has the smack of the big hits
of days gone by. The kind we still sing today. Hans York paints a
picture with his voice.
It is a gorgeous and flowing song. His voice will sweep you away.
There are lovely back up vocals on this track that compliment Hans
beautifully. Instrumentation is exceptional. The melody is hypnotic.
I was totally immersed in this song and wasn't satisfied untill I
hit play 4 times.
2) Young Amelia (Title Track) - This is a smooth
addicting groove with fantastic harmonies. The instruments work together,
tightly, drawing you deeper into the lyrics and the easy web of Hans
York's World. His vocals are simply magnificent. The production and
mastering of this track is outstanding.
3) Tell Me Why - This is an upbeat and uplifting song that will
have you chair dancing in no time. The picking on guitar is fabulous!!!
Hans does a marvelous job on this track. Tell Me Why will have you
smiling and singing along. What more could we ask from a song. Hans
York is amazing!!
Hans York - Young Amelia . This album has it all. Great lyrics, brilliant
instrumentation and the very talented Hans York! It is THE album to
recommend to friends this year. Hans delivers his gift of song wrapped
up in a wonderful blanket of superior musicians, perfectly mastered,
recorded and produced tracks to warm your heart. Hans has raised the
bar with this terrific album. Can you tell I really love it, from
start to finish?
